On the Tigers Expedition Booking Terms & Conditions

Which Trips These Terms Apply To

These Booking Terms & Conditions apply only to the On the Tigers expedition, presented by TannerUnderwater and Nicky of Gung Ho Divers in Jupiter, Florida.

They do not apply to local shark charters, Magdalena Bay, Fiji, or other expeditions, which have their own booking terms.

Please review these terms before making a payment. Your written booking confirmation identifies your selected dates, package, price, and payment deadline.

Packages & Pricing

Guests may book one, two, or three days, subject to availability. All prices are in USD, per guest.

One-Day Package
$750 per day · $750 total
50% deposit: $375 · Remaining balance: $375

Two-Day Package
$675 per day · $1,350 total
50% deposit: $675 · Remaining balance: $675

Three-Day Package
$600 per day · $1,800 total
50% deposit: $900 · Remaining balance: $900

A 50% deposit holds your confirmed dates. The remaining balance is due seven days before your first scheduled trip day.

Multiple days provide more opportunities to work around weather and shark activity, but no package guarantees a particular encounter.

Reservations & Payment

A 50% deposit is required to hold your confirmed dates. Your reservation is confirmed once we receive the deposit and issue written booking confirmation.

Please confirm availability and your selected days with us before sending payment. Submitting an inquiry does not reserve a spot.

The remaining balance is due seven days before your first scheduled trip day. Your booking confirmation will state the exact payment deadline.

Guest Cancellations

All payments, including deposits and final balances, are non-refundable if you cancel or cannot attend, subject to applicable law.

This includes being unable to attend because of illness, flight delays or cancellations, personal circumstances, or other disruptions to your travel plans.

Weather cancellations made by our team are handled separately under the weather-refund policy below.

Date-Change Requests

If you need to change your dates, contact us at least 14 days before your first scheduled trip day.

We will do our best to accommodate a move, subject to availability and our written approval. Date changes are not guaranteed, and requesting a change does not make your payments refundable.

Your original reservation and payment deadline remain in effect unless we confirm a change in writing.

This notice requirement applies to guest-requested changes. It does not restrict your options when our team cancels a day because of weather.

Arrival & Departure

Meeting location:
105 Lake Shore Dr
West Palm Beach, FL 33403

Arrival: 5:15am
Departure: 5:45am sharp

All times are local Florida time.

There is a large parking lot. Park in any space not designated for captain parking. We will meet you on the lawn in front of the marina.

Arrive at 5:15am so there is time to check in, load equipment, and prepare for departure. Getting to the dive site early is an important part of the expedition, and we cannot hold the boat for late arrivals.

Please allow additional time for traffic, parking, and finding the meeting point. If you miss departure, the guest cancellation policy applies.

Our planned return is approximately 3:00pm. Return time may vary with weather, ocean conditions, and operational needs.

Experience & Participation

Ocean and shark experience is required. Guests must be comfortable swimming in open water, remain calm around sharks, and follow crew instructions. Level 1 freediver certification is recommended.

The minimum guest age is 18.

Please accurately describe your relevant experience before booking so we can assess whether this expedition is an appropriate fit.

Guests must attend safety briefings, follow directions throughout each encounter, and treat fellow guests, crew, wildlife, and equipment respectfully.

The captain and crew may delay, restrict, or stop an activity when reasonably necessary for safety. Participation in every planned water session cannot be guaranteed.

Tiger sharks are large, powerful wild animals. Even with experienced guides and careful preparation, no operator can eliminate the risks of swimming with them.

These booking terms do not replace any separate participation documents or liability waiver required for the trip.

Weather & Flexibility

This expedition depends on changing ocean conditions. Departure times, locations, and daily plans may need to change to make the most of suitable conditions.

The captain and operating crew make the final decision about whether conditions allow us to operate safely. Guests must respect those decisions.

Please tell us before booking whether you are local or flying in, your travel window, and how flexible your dates are. We will discuss proposed date changes with you.

Being flexible does not waive your weather-refund option.

Weather Cancellations & Refunds

If our team cancels a scheduled day because of weather, we will work with you to find an alternative date.

If rescheduling does not work for you, we will refund the amount you have paid toward that canceled day, up to your package’s original daily rate. This includes any deposit allocated to that day.

Refunds are calculated using the package you originally booked:

  • One-day package: $750 per canceled day if paid in full.

  • Two-day package: $675 per canceled day if paid in full.

  • Three-day package: $600 per canceled day if paid in full.

If only the 50% deposit has been paid, the refund for a canceled day is the deposit allocated to that day. No remaining balance is owed for that canceled day.

Completed days will not be repriced at a higher daily rate because another day was canceled by our team due to weather.

You are not required to accept a credit instead of the applicable refund.

For example, if you paid $1,800 for a three-day package and one day is canceled due to weather, you will receive a $600 refund if you cannot reschedule. The two completed days remain priced at $600 each.

This section addresses scheduled days canceled by our team because of weather. It does not establish a refund rule for a trip that departs and is later shortened.

Wildlife Encounters

We carefully plan these trips and work hard to create exceptional tiger shark encounters. However, wildlife is free-ranging and unpredictable.

Tiger shark sightings, proximity, behavior, time in the water, and particular encounters cannot be guaranteed. Patience is an important part of the experience, and some periods may be spent waiting for suitable conditions or shark activity.

A trip that operates without a tiger shark encounter is not eligible for a refund on that basis.

When other sharks are present and conditions allow, Tanner will work to photograph guests with those sharks. Specific species, encounters, and photographs cannot be guaranteed.

Photography & Delivery

Guest photography is a central part of the experience. The crew will work to create photo opportunities while prioritizing safety and appropriate conditions.

Edited photographs will be delivered via Dropbox within three days of your trip. Please provide an accurate email address so we can send your gallery link.

Conditions, visibility, wildlife behavior, and guest participation affect the photographs that can be captured. A particular pose, image, species, or number of photographs is not guaranteed.

Meals, Equipment & Preparation

The trip includes a complimentary gourmet lunch, assorted snacks, water, and drinks. Lunch is generally planned for around noon, but timing may change around diving and shark activity.

Tell us about dietary requirements and allergies before the trip so we can discuss arrangements.

Wetsuits, masks, snorkels, and fins are included. Please provide your gear sizes in advance.

Wear dark clothing or swimwear in the water. Bring a towel, dry clothes, sun protection, a warm layer for the early start, and suitable protection for personal belongings.

Travel & Insurance

Flights, accommodation, and ground transportation are not included.

Travel and dive insurance are required. Guests are responsible for confirming directly with their insurer that their coverage is appropriate for the destination and planned activities.

Review coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, delays, medical treatment, and evacuation, including any exclusions related to snorkeling, freediving, or shark encounters.

Insurance coverage depends on the policy purchased. Not every disruption or operator cancellation is covered, and purchasing insurance does not guarantee reimbursement or change these booking terms.
