You don’t need a scuba certification or previous diving experience. We snorkel at the surface, with an experienced crew to guide you and help you feel comfortable in the water.
Jupiter is home to an incredible variety of sharks. Depending on the season, you may encounter bull, lemon, silky, dusky, sandbar and Caribbean reef sharks, great and scalloped hammerheads, tiger sharks, nurse sharks, oceanic blacktips, and more.
Every day on the ocean is different. Shark species and encounters vary with the season and conditions.
What to expect

Choose your departure time in the booking calendar. Arrive 20 minutes early to meet the crew and check in.
Check in at Harbourside
We’ll meet you on the lawn beside Pura Vida, then head to the boat together.
Out into the blue
Enjoy an approximately 20-minute boat ride to the dive site.
Meet the sharks
Once sharks are at the boat, expect 1+ hour in the water with the crew guiding your experience.
Bring the stories home
Relax on the roughly 20-minute return ride to Jupiter.
Allow approximately 3 hours for the full trip. Time with the sharks depends on when they arrive and the day’s conditions.

No dive certification required. Masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits or rash guards are available on board.

Snorkeling experience helps, but it isn’t required. Our team can guide you step by step. All you need for this snorkeling trip is a mask and snorkel, fins, and a wetsuit or rash guard.

The shots you’ve
been dreaming of.
Our professional underwater photographers and videographers take time with each guest who books a package, capturing you alongside the sharks.
Photo packages usually include around 100–250 edited images. Video packages capture encounters throughout the dive. Results and image counts vary with ocean conditions, encounters, and your comfort in the water.
Photo packages can be added at check-in. You can choose photos, video, or both. Private-charter photo or video coverage is $300 for the group.

Do I need diving experience?
No. We snorkel at the surface, so you don’t need a scuba certification or previous diving experience. Snorkeling experience is helpful, and the crew will guide you step by step.
What if we don’t see sharks?
If no sharks are seen, your trip will be fully refunded.
What if the crew cancels?
If the TannerUnderwater crew cancels because of weather or other operational reasons, you’re eligible for a full refund or a credit to reschedule.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Guest cancellations or reschedule requests for personal reasons made within 48 hours of the scheduled trip are non-refundable. Contact us with questions about your reservation.
What happens if I’m late?
Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled departure. If you arrive 15 minutes after your scheduled trip time, you are not entitled to a refund.
Can I book the whole boat?
Yes. Private charters start at $900 for up to 4 people, with each additional guest $200, up to a maximum of 6. Photo or video coverage is an additional $300 for the group. Shared charters include other guests.
