Absolutely not. Majority of our guests are inexperienced and many people arriving never having snorkeled before. Although it does help, it is not necessary. Our team will coach you through everything you need to do during the dive.

All trips are snorkeling and freediving, no scuba tanks required.

We provide masks, snorkels, fins, wetsuits, and rash guards. If you own gear you’re comfortable with, bring it along.

Yes. Safety is our top priority. Every trip has two professional guides in the water and a captain on the boat. Our full-time safety divers are experienced professionals who are there for your safety and comfort. Although many of these sharks are habituated to humans being around, they ARE still wild apex creatures so we operate with the utmost respect and care.

Our primary operation is out of Jupiter Florida. We do run international expeditions but that is separate from our daily charters we run in our home water. Our dive spot is only a 20 minute boat ride from the dock.

About 3 hours total: 20-40 minutes to the site, 60–90 minutes in the water, then 20-40 minutes back. It will depend on ocean conditions and how quickly we get sharks. 

Sharks are intelligent, cautious, and curious. They see us as another apex predator, not food. With calm body language, they typically avoid us and if they do approach, it is slowly and carefully. Each shark is unique, and behavior varies by species, individual, and conditions. 

This is one of the most common questions we get. The answer, it is not going to make a difference. These sharks have evolved to sense the sounds and vibrations of struggling fish, the smell of fish blood, they won’t notice you and even if they did, they aren’t going to care. With these sharks, it can take a lot to get them close, and even with the smell of bleeding fish it can be hard to keep them around.

Sharks are here year-round.

• Spring–Summer (May–Aug): Calm seas, pelagic migrations, fewer cancellations.

• Winter (Nov–Feb): Stronger winds, but bull sharks and hammerheads are common.

No. Our team of professional underwater photographers will work with you every step of the way to make sure you get photos you can take with you for years to come. We pride ourselves on having the best guest photos in the industry.

Encounters are extremely reliable. In over seven years and thousands of trips, we’ve only missed sharks a handful of times. If it happens, we’ll refund your trip.

We constantly monitor conditions. Trips may be rescheduled for strong winds, storms, or hurricanes. If conditions are unsafe, you’ll be refunded or rescheduled.

Photos and videos are sent via email within 1–3 days (sometimes the same day, rarely up to 5). If you don’t receive them within 5 days, contact our booking manager at (561) 441-0593. He’ll make sure your photographer is aware and gets your files sent over promptly.

For safety reasons, we generally prefer to have our professional photographers handle capturing footage. Sharks are highly curious about the electrical signal that cameras emit…However, if you feel comfortable in the water and have experience diving with sharks, we will allow you to bring your own setup.

Winter: Bull sharks, lemon sharks, hammerheads, occasionally tigers

Spring–Summer: Silky sharks, sandbar sharks, dusky sharks, Caribbean reef sharks, bull sharks, lemon sharks, hammerhead sharks, oceanic blacktip sharks

Year-round: Bull sharks, Lemon sharks, Hammerheads, occasional tiger sharks.

Each season brings different highlights, there’s no single “best time.”
